7.Introduction of the Project：Glass hollow sphere is a kind of new developed material in recent years, which have extensive application and excellent performance. Glass hollow sphere features on small size, low conductivity, high strength and good chemical stability etc., and presently are applied to composite material such as FRP, artificial marble and artificial agate etc. It is used as sensibilizer for civil emulsified explosive and as resin putty for automobile industry. Set up with the technology of 80’s and main equipment introduced from TREMA of Germany, the existing production line of the enterprise is still behind the development of international glass hollow sphere technology though having been renovated for years. The progress of upgrading of our product can not meet requirements on quality and quantity by modern markets. Due to above reasons, we plan to do technological renovation and increase our production to 2000 tons annually, and will take efforts to increase the output to 5000 tons annually in five years.

8. Market situation: Chinese domestic markets’ potentiality is great. In the field of emulsified explosive, presently civil explosive is 330,000 tons per year, where output of emulsified explosive is about 30%, i.e. 100,000 tons per year. With 3% filling of glass hollow sphere, annual requirement on it will be 3300 tons. As the additive of composite material, glass hollow sphere is greatly developed on its application for floor and partition board in trains, automobile resin putty, FRP products for civil and industrial use. Its use in fishing boat manufacture, environmental protection, waster water processing system, wind power generation system, gym articles etc. is under development.

10. Brief Introduction to Chinese Partner： Founded in 1989, Qinhuangdao Glass Hollow Sphere Factory is affiliated to Qinhuangdao Glass Group Corporation. The enterprise purchased technology and main equipment from Germany in 1998. With years’ technological renovation, output of glass hollow sphere meets 500 tons per year. The factory owns 60 staff now with the registered capital of 18 million yuan RMB. It has moved to Qinhuangdao Economic & Technological Development Zone in March, 2002.
