    5.Chinese Enterprise present situation

    Qinhuangdao Acrylic Fiber Plant was put into production on Sep.1992 
with annual capacity 30,000 tons acrylic fiber. The plant covers an area of 
45.62 hectares including construction area of 130,000 square meters. The 
plant has 4 special railway  lines with annual transportation capacity of 
200,000 tons, chemical industrial raw material loading and unloading wharf 
with 3,000 tons berths,12,000 KW heat-power station and fully  matched 
utilities. There are 6.2 hectares space land remaining in the plan. The total 
staff number of the plant is 2472 of which 539 are provided with medium-level 
specialized certificates, the ratio is 21.8%of the total;394 are 
university-educated level, the ration is 16%of the total.99.7% of the workers 
graduated from senior high school or specialized technology schools.


    6.Project Progress

    The preliminary feasibility study report of the project has been finished .
