    2.Content of project
    To build a production line with capacity of 3000-ton hydrophilic foils per 
year, which will be mainly supplied with to air-conditioner manufacturing 
factory such as Chunlan, Greelee and Mitsibishi. The main equipment will be 
imported from abroad.

    3.Investment and financing
    Total investment of the project is about USD 6.23 million in which, USD 
4.86 million foreign funds expected to be used.

    4.Market Analysis
    With the promotion of the people's living standard, the air-conditioner is 
more and more popular in daily-life. The foils that used in air-conditioner are 
hydrophilic foils in main. Statistics show that in 2000,the output volume of 
air-conditioner in domestic country is about 12 million sets. The demand for 
foils used in air-conditioner-making is about 42 thousand tons, as the average 
wastage of foil in each air-conditioner is 3.5 kg. And the figure will be bigger 
year by year. Now the production capacity of hydrophilic foils is 12 thousand  
tons in domestic market and cannot meet the big demand, a large amount of 
which are imported each year.So, the future market of hydrophilic foils has 
large potential.

    5.Investment environment
    The project, covering 15 mu,will be located at Qinhuangdao Economic & 
Technological Development Zone (QETDZ) with convenient transportation 
and excellent infra structures. QETDZ is 8 km to Qinhuangdao port and 12 km 
to the airport. Two national high way ,No. 205 and No.102 run across the 
zone.

    6.Economic Efficiency
    After put into operation, the project will realize sales income USD 12.65 
million, profits USD 3.044 million. The payoff period of the project is 4.75 
years.

    7.Progress of Project
    The project's proposal has been approved by the provincial planning 
commission.
