    6.Outline of the project:
    Alloy  Magnesium is causing the  attention of the world due to
 its less pollution, light quality, high  strength, good absorption 
of vibration, easy cut and processing, stable  size,  regenerating 
use.  It  has been widely  used in  motor producing,  aviation and 
aerospace  field  since 80's.  It is  gradually developing towards
communication,  computer,  video  and audio  (shortened as 3C)  as 
entering 90's.  It shows the great advantage in the function such 
as good screening,  powerful  anti-electromagnetism.  The  elegant 
exterior is becoming to win the favor of the customers,and forming 
a kind of consuming popularity, and new market hot spot.
   The project fills  the vacancy of the nation, and is the result 
through cooperation  with Qinghua University. In recent years, the 
alloy magnesium  shell used in computer and mobile,  especially in 
portable computer,  is mainly imported from Taiwan.  However,  the 
raw materials  needed  for  production  in Taiwan is all purchased 
from mainland  (output of  magnesium in  China possesses one third 
of the world),  the  mainland  has  the  obvious  advantage in raw 
materials, labor price, and sales price compared with Taiwan(tariff 
is available as imported from Taiwan) .

    7. Market situation:
   At present, there is a great demand for alloy magnesium shell 
parts in 3C field in the world. The portable computer around the 
world is 20million sets in year 1999, nearly one fourth uses the 
alloy magnesium shell. It is expected that the portable computer 
around  the world  will be  1200million sets in year 2003, among 
them,  400million  sets use  alloy magnesium shell. The portable 
computer in China is to be over 5 million sets in year 2002, and 
one  second  uses  the  alloy  magnesium  shell.   The  domestic 
electricity such as camera,  mobile, and photo camera, etc. also 
use alloy magnesium shell in quite number of quantity.  It has a 
broad marketable future.

    8.Outline of Chinese partner:
    Qinhuangdao  Anye  Metallurgy  Industry  co.,  Ltd.   mainly 
produces car  tyre  materials,  and  has  been  cooperating with 
Qinghua  University  for  many  years.  Technically supported by 
Qinghua University, it is developing the new products instead of 
the old ones.
